What are this summer's coollest child toys apart from, of course - Star Wars-related toys ? We think that the 'coolest' toys for any summer are outdoor toys. Yes, summer is time for outdoor activities. If the weather is not too hot, get your kids to do some hiking, canoeing, bicycle riding, gardening, or playing around in the backyard. If the weather starts to be hot, do water-related activities, or just simply cool down in the house where your kids can either read nice story books or engage themselves in various indoor play. Yes, we think that summer time should be a play time for kids. No extra curricular activities, no more school work. Kids need to be playing a lot and we, as parents, have to make sure that we do not push them for academic works and extracurricular activities on summer. A study conducted in UK by International Play Association has shown that a lot of today's kids are deprived of free play.This is not a good sign because play is a child's work.
