Child Play Tunnel and Tent
Buying Guide and Recommendation

Get a child play tunnel if you want a toy which dramatically develops your child's abdominal and chest muscles.

This toy often comes with a play tent, so it's fun to play with and it has other benefit for your kids, too.

The benefit of getting play tunnel for your kids are enormous. Not only this toy is good for your child's physical development, but it also encourages social play. You will find that your child will love to 'chase' his friends in the tunnel.

Since a crawling tunnel often comes with a play tent, don't be surprised if your kid incorporates this toy in his pretend play. A child play tunnel can be transformed into 'a time machine', a 'secret tunnel', an 'escape tunnel', and much more. Throw some toys in there and quickly the play tunnel and tent can serve as your child's retreat.

The bottom line is: your children will find many ways to use this toy.

The only drawback is that it requires a large amount of space to play with, although it can be stored folded. So think twice before you buy this if you are living in a small space.

If you don't want to buy this toy but would like to have a child play tunnel, you can always make your own crawling tunnel. Get 6 big boxes which have the same dimension. Remove the top and bottom of the boxes. Connect one end of the box to the other using duct tapes. Now you have a crawling tunnel your kids will love to crawl in.

There are two types of crawling tunnel in the market today.

• The first one consists is play tunnel only.

• The second one is a play tent and tunnel combo.
  In this type of crawling tunnel, tents or dens are connected to the play tunnel, making it a nice scene for pretend play. Some even come with little balls, so that one den can be converted into a ball area similar to the commercial child ball area. But of course the one you own would be much smaller. The most popular type of play tents with tunnels combo is the ones made by Playhut. The one I found which has a good value is the Megaland Play Tent by Playhut and is available here .
