What Are The Benefits Of
Construction Toys ?
One of the toy I love the most as a child is construction toys. In fact, I could spend hours playing with them. I still remember a great sense of accomplishment I felt when looking at the end product.
Yes, building toys are fun to have. The obvious benefit of these toys are: - Improving hand-eye coordination.
- Encourage logical thinking and spatial awareness.
- and, foster creativity and imagination.
And they are not all.
The benefit of building toys goes beyond these. There are definitely hidden benefits of these toys which you may not realize.
For instance, when your child explains to you about his creation, what skill has he been practising ? Your child has just been practicing his narration skill. And you know ... this skill is important for enhancing the expressive language ability.
When you see your child builds something with his friends, what skill has he been practising ? Yes .... social skills. Your child is learning to share, and negotiate.
We also found that advance construction toys designed for older kids give lots more benefit. Kids will be able to learn about energy, mechanics,and even electronics using these toys.
So I think these toys are good to have.
