It's because they turn learning into playing. We know that children love playing. In addition, they are also a bunch of natural-born-learners.

So what are the best kid toys and games for young school-age kids ?

Social and Language Development.

• School-age kids are generally very social. Sport and physical activities like rope jumping, ice/roller skating, riding kid ride on toys and playing hide-and-seek will not only aid their physical development, but can also be used as a learning ground to become social.

• Early elementary school kids (6-9 years old) also love pretend play. Select the fashion dolls and action figures according to your value. For instance, you may prefer to get your girl a fashion doll which is decently dressed and not curvy. Or, you may want to avoid certain action figures which symbolize violence.

  Drama and theatrical production are the natural extension of pretend play and therefore, your kids may enjoy getting involved in drama or puppet theatre.

• Card and board games are another way to enhance social capabilities of kids. This kind of game can be played at home with family members, at school with peers, during parties or travels.

• And don't forget one of the favorite kid toys: kid jigsaw puzzle and wooden cube puzzle. Child jigsaw puzzle has so many benefits. But the best part is, it's almost a guarantee that your child will love this toy. By the way, who would not enjoy spending evening together gathering around a jigzaw puzzle ?

Fine motor skills

By the time the kids reach the school-age, their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills are likely to be much improved with the girls being better at this compared to boys.

So now it's time to introduce a more complicated art and craft works as well as more intricate child building blocks and construction toys. In addition, you may also find that just before your boy reaches the teen years, he will be interested in some of 'hobby toys', such as RC and planes.

Intelligence
